Report summary

Springvale underground mine is located in the Western Coalfield of New South Wales 15 kilometres north west of Lithgow. The mine produces thermal coal for export and use in the nearby Mt Piper power station. Springvale operates within mining lease ML1326 which was granted in September 1993 and will expire in 2025.
