On Tuesday, April 14, 2015, the Fukui court issued an injunction ordering Kansai Electric not to restart two reactors at the Takahama nuclear power station despite months earlier receiving clearances with Japan's nuclear watchdog, Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA). This decision could have serious knock-on implications for future nuclear power, fossil fuel use, and emissions targets.
