The Firth of Forth – net zero at the heart of Scotland
Report summary
As COP26 comes to Glasgow it brings into sharp focus Scotland's ambitious 2045 net zero target. Industrial emissions account for about 10% of Scotland's total emissions and the Firth of Forth area is Scotland's largest industrial area. This paper makes the case for a Firth of Forth Net Zero Hub to: • play a pivotal role in the UK's energy transition; • leverage the rich skills base; • generate employment; • drive economic growth; and • be part of the net zero solution for Scotland.
