CCUS: South America policy and regulation

CCUS will be a critical decarbonisation technology for many emerging economies in South America, which will continue to rely on fossil fuels to meet their populations' energy needs. While most countries focus on renewables expansion, several have recognized CCUS as an effective solution to simultaneously increase domestic energy supply and reduce GHG emissions. We anticipate that there will be a growing number of CCS/EOR projects in countries such as Brazil, and Guyana.
