Argentina’s PlanGas: successful results to accelerate production growth
Report summary
By the end of 2022, the Argentinian government released the results of the PlanGas.Ar’s fourth and fifth rounds. With the tender marked by a large competition, all incremental volumes offered were contracted and nearly all previous agreements were extended. As a result, the government could secure enough volumes for the new Tratayen-Salliqueló pipeline through 2028. The country will largely benefit from these results in the next few years. But is it enough for a sustainable long-term market expansion?
