Eastern Australia's gas and power markets are experiencing radical transformation and are at the forefront of Asia Pacific’s energy transition. For gas demand, this creates new and unprecedented risks. We believe that energy transition is almost certain to reduce domestic gas demand over the longer term, the key uncertainty is how quickly. In this report, our Fast Forward and Slow Burn scenarios explore the respective trajectories for gas demand to 2050 and pace of energy transition under different assumptions.
