2019 is breaking records for LNG supply, for both new capacity coming online and new capacity sanctioned. The ramp up of projects in Australia, Russia and the USA will add over 40 mmtpa of new capacity this year, the highest ever. And Australia is set to become as the world’s largest LNG supplier by year-end. Despite current low market prices, the long-term for outlook for LNG remains bullish, with megaproject sanctions in USA, Russia and Mozambique in 2019 making it a record year for FIDs.
