Global LNG supply tracker Q2 2020
Report summary
Global LNG supply growth in 2020 will be well short of previous expectations. Suppliers are battling weak demand and limited market space due to coronavirus. Low spot prices are pushing marginal suppliers to cut output, while low oil prices will delay some upstream investments and impact supply beyond 2021. We forecast “only” +10 Mt of LNG output growth (+2.7%) in 2020 – compared to +25 Mt in our previous update.
