Improved productivity and sub-play economics have strengthened the Montney's competitive position in the greater North American landscape. Sub-play breakevens are markedly down with the most active sub-plays breaking even below US$2.00/mcf at AECO. With new projects and services coming online in the next 6-12 months, better takeaway should help improve AECO basis and ensure continued supply growth out of western Canada.
