Report summary
As we close out winter with a mild March but potentially lingering cold into April, seasonal withdrawals have been robust. Injection season will start both lower than last year and the five-year average. North America gas storage will face an uphill battle to refill comfortably before the start of next winter. Heightened global commodity market volatility provides higher risks than ever before. Our March short-term outlook was completed mid-month in advance of our upcoming Strategic planning outlook. Although both oil and gas prices have rallied strongly since then, our North America gas market fundamentals remain unchanged. Find out more on: Will production start to spring forward higher? What impact does higher gas prices have on demand? Will LNG utilization rates remain near maximum?
