Gas traders know well to avoid being caught short in June. Early summer heat matters. This year’s blistering start to the season down south has already pressed cooling demand past 40 bcfd on a daily level, with further increases on the way. As a stronger summer demand outlook assuages fears of storage overfill, prices are maintaining their recovery out of the low-$2/mmbtu range. The weekly commodity report seeks to explore: • Will cooling degree days continue to increase? • Are LNG outages ending? • Is supply set to dip further?
