North America gas weekly update: More issues at Freeport LNG?
Report summary
Freeport LNG Train 3 is finally set to restart but more issues may lie ahead. After its restoration, it is assumed that only a two-train output level will occur at Freeport LNG as the other two trains require repairs as well. Full output is tentatively scheduled for May. Although still dwarfed by its summer 2022 outage event (527 bcf), over 70 bcf of US feedgas demand will have been lost from the latest Freeport LNG incidents. This weekly natural gas commodity report seeks to explore: • Are anomalous mild weather conditions ending? • Will we flip back to withdrawals to close out March? • How high will the storage surplus balloon to?
