Our 85 bcf injection projection for the week ending 17 May 2024 compares to the five-year average and last year’s injections of 92 bcf and 97 bcf, respectively. No triple digit weekly storage injects are currently expected ahead of the summer with the best chance typically occurring in the holiday week including Memorial Day, ending 31 May. This weekly natural gas commodity report seeks to explore: • Has US supply reached a low point? • Why is LNG utilization not ramping up despite Freeport’s full return? • How tight are gas market fundamentals?
