Northeast pipeline projects quarterly update (Q3 2016): regulatory status and shipper database
Report summary
Staggering supply growth in the Marcellus and Utica has caused the area to rapidly grow out of its existing infrastructure. Wood Mackenzie estimates that a total of 24 bcfd of new capacity will be operational in the Northeast in the next five years. These new pipeline projects are more complex, face greater public scrutiny and are affected by weaker producer balance sheets. As such, we have developed a new quarterly deliverable tracking the latest status of pipeline projects. 2016 Q3 Northeast pipeline projects update includes: FERC application status, receipt and delivery points, in-service date and capacity, and other important metrics for Northeast pipeline projects. This includes both, those projects taking Marcellus and Utica supply to market and also projects aimed to improve deliverability in New York and New England. Our estimates of shipper volumes. A schematic map of upcoming projects in both northeast Pennsylvania and the southwest Marcellus and Utica.
