On 24 October 2016, Singapore's Minister of Trade and Industry, S. Iswaran, announced that the Energy Market Authority (EMA) has appointed Pavilion Energy and Shell as the new LNG aggregators to supply Singapore with 1 mmtpa each or up to three years, whichever is earlier. Mr Iswaran further added that the country is planning to allow third party spot LNG and new piped gas imports on a case-by-case basis. We explore the implications in this inform.
