Report summary
On the Southern Cone, Argentina will cease its imports from Bolivia in September, as Gasoducto Norte reversal advances. Consequently, supply competition will increase. From October 2024 to April 2025, Brazil and Northern Chile will compete for 3 to 6 Mcmd of interruptible Argentinian exports, while Bolivia will seek to market its volumes to Brazil. A strategic pricing approach will be essential to secure a position in the regional market and Argentina has already begun lowering its export price floor to 5.5% Brent.
