Bahrain LNG - LNG regas terminal
Report summary
Construction of the project started in January 2017 after reaching financial close in early December 2016. This is the first LNG import project in the Middle East to be a Public-Private Partnership. The terminal is constructed in the Northeast of Khalifa Bin Salman Port at Hidd Area. The Bahrain Spirit FSU arrived at the terminal with a cargo in July 2019. Construction and commissioning of the terminal was completed in January 2020. The Bahrain Spirit has been chartered out as a carrier since mid-2020
