The Caofeidian LNG project is PetroChina's third terminal commissioned after Rudong and Dalian. The project received approval from the National Development and Reform Commission in October 2010 and construction of the facility started in March 2011. The Caofeidian LNG regas terminal, with an initial capacity of 6.5 mmtpa, is located at the Caofeidian port in Tangshan, Hebei province.
