Report summary
Northeast Asian DES prices increased by 40 cents to $8.9/mmbtu, reflecting movements in European gas prices and additional spot transactions. In Northeast Asia, Japan’s Tohoku Electric awarded an April cargo while Beijing Gas reportedly awarded at least six cargoes for delivery between May and September. South- and Southeast Asian buyers, including PTT (Thailand) and RGPCL (Bangladesh), were also in the market. In the Atlantic basin, Argentina tendered 10 partial cargoes for Southern Hemisphere winter delivery.
