Global LNG - FSRU overview 2019
This report is currently unavailable
Report summary
With the market long on LNG, interest in developing new demand has intensified. In most cases this can be achieved faster and cheaper using a floating regas solution. Floating Storage and Regasification Units (FSRUs) have been in operation for less than 15 years, but have moved quickly from being a specialist niche to being a main-stream solution for potential new regasification terminals. Floating Storage Units (FSUs) and regasification barges offer alternative and often lower cost solutions for smaller projects. FSRUs look set to open up the largest LNG exporter to imports - Australia - and one of Europe's biggest gas market to LNG for the first time - Germany. They can quickly open new markets in Africa and they can help China build capacity faster.
