Report summary
Low prices and potential LNG over supply has put a renewed focus on developing new LNG demand and the regas terminal infrastructure to support it. From 2010 to 2019, global regas capacity grew at about 4.6% a year, reaching 880mmtpa. Building on the success of our LNG supply FID tracker this report identifies new and under construction regas terminals, expansions at existing regas terminals and benchmarks development at pre-FID projects against a number of milestones. The Excel download is the main deliverable of this report and includes details on 23 under construction regas terminals, 161 pre-FID projects and expansions at 23 existing terminals and 7 recently opened terminals.
