Global LNG run rates slipped to 78% in August, reflecting a combination of planned maintenance and unplanned outages across key producing regions. West Africa provided a relative bright spot, with Nigeria LNG averaging 85% utilisation and Angola LNG operating near 120%, In the Middle East, ADNOC LNG has completed its 75-day planned maintenance event, easing export constraints, while Oman LNG continues to operate under seasonal maintenance. Australian output was mixed: APLNG and Gorgon Train 3 returned to full capacity, but Ichthys LNG entered an extended planned maintenance event across two trains, running from 16 August through to 8 October. In the Atlantic Basin, Snøhvit LNG completed its scheduled summer maintenance between 22 April and end-July. However, the facility was taken offline again from 16 to 18 August to address process-related issues.
