LNG 19: Opportunities and challenges facing LNG to power in emerging markets

Wood Mackenzie's LNG Asia Gas & LNG Research Director, Nicholas Browne delivered this paper at LNG 19, Shanghai on April 3rd. The conference session was entitled 'Drivers for Demand Creation across the world'. Utilising research from our South East Asia Gas and Power Service and Energy Market Services, the paper outlines successful case studies where LNG to power has been implemented and the lessons learnt. It also assesses the potential scale of LNG to power in new importing markets as a means to improve power supply and displace oil fired generation.
