Commodity Market Report
LNG short-term outlook: July 2022
Report summary
European prices have settled at around ~$48/mmbtu during the Nord Stream maintenance, after a hectic three-week rally. Flows via Nord Stream restarted at their pre-maintenance level (40% of capacity) on 21 July, but there is no guarantee this will stick. Volatility and large price swings can be expected based on further announcements. Global LNG prices escalated with TTF but continue to trade at a discount. Muted Asian spot demand is keeping Pacific prices at parity to NWE Europe.
