Natuna D Alpha is a giant gas field located in the Natuna Sea, with reserves-in-place of up to 222 tcf. The field has a high carbon dioxide (CO2) content of around 71% and is in a remote location far from any possible destination markets. This has led to it remaining undeveloped since its discovery in 1973. We estimate sales gas reserves at the field are around 45 tcf.
