The 24th meeting of the Conference of Parties (COP) is being held from 3-14 December at Katowice in Poland. World leaders, policymakers and climate change experts will join the event to discuss, negotiate and possibly agree on a pathway to deliver on the targets of the 2015 Paris Agreement. The Paris Agreement has been signed and ratified by 185 countries, and it will come into effect from 2020. However, the pathway and the rules and procedures are far from certain. What are the implications?
