Coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on commodities
Report summary
The coronavirus (COVID-19) has quickly emerged a black swan event that may have repercussions for the Chinese economy. Other economies dependent on China would also be affected. Though much of China was allowed to return to work on 10 February, the first day following the extended new year holiday, many people are still undergoing quarantine measures. It is unclear how long the current logjam will last before manufacturing operations return to normal. The priority is to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
