Atacocha zinc mine
Report summary
Atacocha operates two mines, the underground Atacocha mine and the San Gerardo open pit mine. The underground mine has used mechanised overhand cut and fill for many years and recently implemented sublevel stoping. It also operates a conventional 4.5kt/d Chicrin concentrator that produces zinc, lead and copper concentrates. Based on 2018 reserves and resources and the reserves replacement truck record, Wood Mackenzie estimates a mine life to 2028.
