Austria Duvaz zinc mine
Report summary
Austria Duvaz is located 150km North-East of Lima, adjacent to the Toromocho open pit project. It is a polymetallic underground mine producing separate copper, lead and zinc concentrates. The 1kt/d concentrator operates at a capacity of 800-850 t/d ore. But in 2018 this plant was being expanded to 1.44kt/d ore but will be operated at 1.2kt/d ore. The tailing is deposited in the Puquiococha tailing dump. The estimated life of this operation is constrained by the capacity to renew their concessions with Panamerican Silver (Argentum) and Chinalco (Toromocho). By 2018 we have estimated a mine life until 2025. Concentrates are shipped through the port of El Callao in Lima.
