Back Forty zinc mine project

Report summary

Back Forty is a complex polymetallic deposit. It includes both, sulphide mineralisation and gold-bearing gossans. The Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA), released in July 2014, planned for the project's sulphide ore to follow a conventional open pit and differential flotation process to produce copper, zinc and lead concentrates. It also included a separate agitated leaching route to recover gold – silver dore from the oxide ore.
