Balcooma (Thalanga) (closed) zinc mine
Report summary
The accompanying analysis considers the operation of Kagara's Thalanga polymetallic circuit and the Vomacka open pit mine up to their suspension in early 2012. Shortly after, Kagara entered into voluntary administration and in October 2012, the Administrators appointed PCF Capital Group Pty Ltd to co-ordinate the sale of Kagara Zinc's North Queensland assets. Red River Resources acquired the Thalanga operations in 2014, the details of restarting operations are outlined in the Thalanga Restart asset profile.
