The Bankan project, located within the prolific Siguiri Basin, is being developed as an open-pit and underground operation. A 2024 Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) indicates an 11-year mine life producing 2.82 million ounces of gold, underpinned by a 3.05 million ounce probable mineral reserve and an estimated pre-production capital of $456 million. The process plant is designed for a nominal capacity of 5.5Mtpa and will utilise conventional CIL with upfront gravity recovery. The project plans to commence construction in 2026 for commercial production by 2028.
