The Berkeley mini-mill owned and operated by Nucor in South Carolina and is the company's the largest plant. It produces both flat sheet (hot rolled, cold rolled, galvanised sheet) and long products (wide flange beams, I- beams, channels). Flat products account for 74% of the plant's finished steel output and long products 26%. Two EAFs are in operation producing 2.8 Mtpa.
