Report summary

Bloom Lake is an idle surface mine approximately 940 kilometres north-east of Montreal in Quebec, Canada. Champion Iron acquired the mine in 2016 and are planning to re-start it. We estimate an iron ore price of US$56/tonne (CFR China, 62% Fe fines basis) is required to make the re-start viable. Champion Iron are intending to produce 7.4Mtpa of 66% Fe concentrate from Bloom Lake.
