The Boleslaw smelter (situated at Bukowno near Katowice) was formerly part of a Kombinatt that included the Boleslaw complex of mine and smelter which, together with the Olkusz and Pomorzany mines, comprises ZGH, the Miasteczko Slaskie zinc-lead smelter, the HMN Szopienice Non Ferrous Metals Works, the Silesia zinc refinery (distillation closed in 2000) and secondary operation and the Trzebionka mine.
