Caofeidian, MCC Ramu - Nickel sulphate refinery
Report summary
Operated by MCC Ramu New Energy, the Caofeidian nickel sulphate and NCM cathode precursor plant is located in the Caofeidian district of Tangshan city in Hebei. The plant is a joint venture between MCC (Metallurgical Corp of China), Guoxuan High Tech, BYD, and the Tangshan government. In 2021, the plant is estimated to have produced 51.3kt of nickel sulphate, using feedstock from the integrated MCC Ramu mine in Papua New Guinea.
