Jingmen, GEM - Nickel sulphate refinery
Report summary
Operated by GEM, the Jingmen plant is located in Hubei province, China. The plant produces nickel sulphate from a variety of nickel feedstocks, the majority of which is mixed hydroxide precipitate (MHP) from the Ramu Nickel Plant, in Papua New Guinea. The plant has a capacity of 30.0ktpa in contained nickel, though in 2021 was estimated to produce 18.3ktpa. Wood Mackenzie’s asset reports are built from the bottom up, incorporating several granular data metrics to ultimately produce our industry-standard cash operating costs.
