Report summary

The Esperanza mine is in the Sierra Gorda region of Chile located 5km from Antofagasta's El Tesoro mine operation. An open pit mining operation feeds a plant producing copper concentrate with additional gold by product credits. Production of a molybdenum concentrate is forecast to start in 2015. The oxide resource pre stripped as a part of the overburden is dump leached on site with the resulting pregnant leach solution (PLS) pumped to the neighbouring El Tesoro plant.
