Report summary
The Cerro del Gallo project, owned by Argonaut Gold, is located in Guanajuato state, Mexico. The first stage of the project includes the development of a conventional open pit truck and shovel mine, coupled with a 6Mt/a processing facility. Ore will undergo three stages of crushing, crushed ore will then be stacked on the heap leach pad, pregnant solution will then be pumped to a Sulphidisation-Acidification-Recycling-Thickening (SART) stage to recover copper prior to gold recovery, gold will be recovered in a carbon-in-column (CIC) circuit, followed elution of the loaded carbon, prior to electrowinning and smelting to produce a gold doré.
