Chalco is a joint stock limited company established in 2001 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and the Shanghai Stock Exchange. The company is fully integrated with bauxite and coal mining operations, alumina refining and primary smelting. The state owned Aluminium Corporation of China (Chinalco), with 38.56% (41.45% when accounting indirect ownership) is the single largest shareholder of Chalco.
