Freeport-McMoran's Chino mine in New Mexico, USA is a copper mining operation producing both copper concentrate and copper cathode through the SxEw process. Molybdenum concentrate is also produced when mining areas with molybdenum-bearing ore. Mine economics depend on successful ROM leaching (no crushing) of sub grade chalcocite/chalcopyrite sulphide "waste" material.
