Dachang (Lame) zinc mine
Report summary
Dachang mine is located in Guangxi province, China. Mining activities has started since 1958, and is done primarily using underground mining methods of longhole open stoping as well as block caving. Access to the underground mine is via shaft, decline and adit. The mine was suspended in 2012 and 2014 due to high cadmium content in its disposed waste water, and was required to upgrade its environmental facilities to comply with environmental regulations.
