Fazenda Brasileiro gold mine
Report summary
The Fazenda Brasileiro is an epigenetic gold-bearing quartz vein hosted lode gold deposit. The mine is exploited through conventional open pit mining and underground mechanised sub-level stoping. The processing plant currently has a 1.3Mtpa capacity and it consists of conventional milling, gravity recovery and 2 circuits of cyanide leaching followed by 2 parallel circuits of Carbon-In-Leach. The final product is a gold doré. The mine is located in the state of Bahia in east-central Brazil. It is located near the town of Teofilandia and it is 180km northwest of Salvador. The property covers approximately 22,600ha.
