Copper prices have remained rangebound since news of the Russia/Ukraine conflict. However, the world has now moved into uncharted territory and this will likely have significant consequences on the nascent recoveries of the world’s economies, already shaken as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. There will certainly be implications for energy policy and the outlook for the energy transition in which copper plays a significant role.
