Commodity Market Report
Global lead short-term outlook December 2021
Report summary
Lead markets slid quietly towards the trading break over Christmas and New Year, with no net change in price from the start of the month up to the holiday period. The cash to three-month contango has now been in place for the whole of the second half of the year as supply concerns and low stocks still trouble markets. Chinese refined lead exports included major tonnage into Europe for the first time since 2007. This might dampen some of the premium increases currently being pushed my European producers.
