Commodity Market Report
Global lead short-term outlook March 2021
Report summary
Lead's run of poor price performance has continued this month, breaking below $1900/t at one point and seeing market confidence starting to melt away. Near-term indicators do not suggest a reversal of fortune, but demand remains good with a refined lead squeeze developing in North America - plus premia shooting skywards. Spot TCs are coming down as energy consumption controls are shutting some Mongolian mines, and general supply seems to be struggling to build momentum.
