Commodity Market Report
Global nickel short-term outlook June 2023
Report summary
Nickel prices fall again in June, and with all nickel forms in oversupply, are they heading for a longer-term decline? While China’s government announced measures to boost EV sales, its stainless market is only improving slowly, so we have reined in our bullish outlook for H2. Other stainless centres of the world are broadly flat this year, while the ever improving aerospace segment is struggling with superalloy availability.
