Commodity Market Report
Global stainless steel investment horizon outlook Q4 2022
Report summary
Stainless markets remain weak due to a combination of economic deterioration and Covid restrictions. The Chinese rebound stalled in November, leaving next year's expansion in capacity at risk. Indonesia is also now going slower while Europe struggles as low prices, high energy costs and imports from Asia are limiting production. The world may be better in 2023 but Europe may have to wait until 2024.
