Commodity Market Report
Global zinc long-term outlook Q4 2020
Report summary
The medium-term outlook for the zinc market has been transformed by coronavirus. Although zinc mine production has largely returned to normal, the bounce back in demand is being hindered in many countries by the re-introduction of measures to try to curb the spread of the virus. The impact of the pandemic on global zinc demand has yet to manifest itself in the form of rising exchange stocks and this together with investor confidence in the impact of stimulus and a roll out of vaccines has buoyed the zinc price and this influence is forecast to support prices in the near to medium term.
