Gorno zinc mine project
Report summary
Gorno is a restart zinc-lead project formerly operated by a subsidiary of the ENI group. Approximately 6 Mt of sulphide and oxide zinc ore has been mined since the 1890s, averaging a combined zinc and lead grade of 14.5%. An updated Indicated and Inferred mineral resource was announced in 2021 with 7.79 Mt grading 6.8% zinc, 1.8% lead and 32g/t silver. A scoping study was completed in 2021 with expected concentrate production of up to 80kt/a of zinc and 13kt/a of lead concentrates over 10 years. A definitive feasibility study (DFS) is currently underway.
